New Classic apresenta Tiago Nacarato
New Classic presents another edition of its annual artistic residency, a project that fosters collaboration between Madeiran musicians and leading artists from the Portuguese music scene, encouraging artistic exchange, shared experiences, and the development of new musical languages.
This year’s residency features special guest Tiago Nacarato, in a collaboration that will result in the creation of new original compositions developed alongside the musicians of New Classic, as well as new interpretations of songs from his latest album, presented through exclusive arrangements created especially for this residency.
This artistic residency has been made possible through a partnership between the Municipality of Funchal, Estalagem da Ponta do Sol, Associação Retoiça, and New Classic. Together, these institutions have played a key role in strengthening artistic creation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira by promoting collaboration between artists, supporting local musicians, and reinforcing Madeira’s position as a place of cultural innovation and creativity.
The concerts emerging from this residency represent the culmination of an intensive collective creative process, celebrating music as a space for encounter, experimentation, and artistic dialogue.
Tiago Nacarato is a singer-songwriter from Porto with Brazilian roots. Since launching his solo career in 2018, he has performed extensively across Portugal and made his Brazilian debut with sold-out concerts—including double performances in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro—as well as appearances in Fortaleza and Belo Horizonte.
