Born in the summer of 2007 in the Portuguese city of Braga, the Peixe Avião quickly won the admiration of the national press. Since then their career has been marked by a constant growth supported by albums “40.02” (fuse records, 2008) and “Madrugada” (PAD, 2010).
The last album “ Peixe:Avião” released in 2013, was considered by the Blitz, and other magazines, one of the best albums of 2013, and won them the nomination for best album at the IMPALA European awards, alongside such iconic names as John Grant, Sigur Rós or Boards of Canada.
In their new album they had the participation of Manuela Azevedo of the famous Portuguese band “Clã”, and Bernardo Sassetti, one the most emblematic jazz musicians in Portugal. In this album, we can find several musical influences, from the electronic, to the pop, rock and even some metal sung in Portuguese.
After several concerts in Portugal, which won them critical praise and worship among fans, Peixe Avião is already one of best examples of the new Portuguese music.
