João Hasselberg is a growing name in the Portuguese jazz scene: Different projects and collaboration with renowned artists have turned Hasselberg in one of the most creative musicians of his generation. After graduating from the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2010, he strengthened his position when he achieved the first place in the Young Musicians Prize 2011 Jazz Combo Category.
André Santos is one of the most active Portuguese Jazz guitarists, having already participated in groups such as the Hot Club Jazz Orchestra, L.A. New Mainstream, Demian Cabaud Benespera, Sara Serpa Fragmentz, António Quintino Trio and many others.
He also participated in the tour and the making of the disc of Teresa Salgueiro, “Mistério”, as a guitarist and co-author of the original songs.
He is also a teacher at the Jazz school Luís Villas-Boas and is coordinator of the Jazz course at the school of Arts and Technologies in Lisbon.
João and André will offer us a beautiful evening of jazz in the Estalagem da Ponta do Sol, in what will be a magical night, and they will be accompanied by the talented trumpet player Rafael Andrade.
