Every year, one evening in our program is the responsibility of Sérgio Hydalgo, programmer of the famous art house Galeria Zé dos Bois, in Lisbon.
This time he brings to us a Portuguese artist who released her last album in March 2014 and is running the main venues and festivals of the country, such as Music Box, Plan B, Rivoli, Paredes de Coura, Good Sounds, On Stage, among others, and she will be in Madeira for the first time, at Estalagem da Ponta do Sol.
Capicua is a female rapper from Porto, who conquered the national hip-hop in 2012 with her debut album, and now presents her latest work “Sereia Louca”.
The new album features collaborations of Gisela João and Aline Frazão, being a double disc.
Capicua is not easy to define, she is far from a typical robot portrait of a rapper, her lyrics and emotion are a real demonstration of how hip-hop can be transverse to the genre. Capicua is a contemporary poet in a must-see concert.
